Our Course Schedule (Daily 09:00–14:45)

Day 1: Introductions, Expectations, and Ethical Considerations
We start the course with an interactive introduction round, where you’ll have the opportunity to share about yourself and your expectations. Afterwards, we explore the possibilities, benefits, and ethical boundaries of using AI and digital tools in education. Together, we’ll analyze real case studies that highlight common challenges and strategies for responsible implementation.

Day 2: Foundations and Applications of ChatGPT in the Classroom
This day is dedicated to ChatGPT and similar AI tools. You’ll gain a deeper understanding of how these technologies work and how they can be applied effectively in education. After the theoretical input, you’ll participate in hands-on exercises to create your own teaching materials and lesson plans using ChatGPT.

Day 3: Introduction to Canva and the Design of Learning Materials
On the third day, we focus on Canva and its potential for designing engaging visual learning materials. After a basic introduction, you’ll take part in a creative workshop to develop your own teaching resources and projects that will visually enrich your lessons.

Day 4: Designing and Conducting a Cultural Excursion with ChatGPT
On this day, we cover the methodological foundations for planning and conducting an engaging and educational cultural excursion with the help of ChatGPT. You’ll learn how to use ChatGPT as a versatile tool for research, content development, and interactive elements. We’ll show you how ChatGPT can assist you on-site — visually and auditorily (for example, through the creation of audio guides or thematic background information) — to turn the excursion into an unforgettable experience for your students. After a theoretical introduction and practical training session, we will go on a real cultural excursion to a significant site in Paphos, where you can directly apply what you’ve learned.

Day 5: Creating and Presenting Teaching Materials with Canva and ChatGPT, Course Wrap-Up
The final day focuses on reflecting on the excursion and effectively using Canva and ChatGPT to create engaging and informative teaching materials. You’ll learn how to use ChatGPT to process, summarize, and adapt the excursion content for different learning formats. Afterwards, we’ll show you how to design professional presentations with Canva that visually and didactically capture both the excursion outcomes and the key learnings from the course. Participants will present their materials and receive constructive feedback.
The course concludes with a reflective session to summarize key insights and inspire participants to integrate their newly acquired skills into their own teaching practice.
